"Salmon Woman and Raven," by Tom Jay, is located in front of the Highland Community Center. Bellevue is a city of culture as well as commerce. While its office towers and high-end stores downtown are daily draws, the Bellevue Arts Museum and the Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art offer cultural options. The Bellevue Sculpture Exhibition and an annual arts and crafts fair are major events for the region. The Bellevue Jazz Festival features top national performers.

Quality community-based performing groups, including the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cascadian Chorale and the Bellevue Opera entertain, often at the modern Theatre at Meydenbauer Center. The Bellevue Youth Theatre, which offers a showcase for seniors too, stages regular productions.

Bellevue has a diverse public art collection of more than 50 sculptures placed throughout the community. The public art, along with the often daring biennial Sculpture Exhibition, are visible signs of continuing efforts by the city's Arts Commission to nurture the arts here. Bellevue's Arts Program provides funding to a variety of arts groups working in Bellevue.
