Bellevue Redmond Overlake Transportation Study

Bellevue is updating its part of the 1999 Bel-Red Overlake Transportation Study, an agreement with the City of Redmond that addressed transportation consequences of planned growth in the Bel-Red area of Bellevue and the Overlake area of Redmond.
New plans, including land use changes, will have impacts not only on the Bel-Red and Overlake areas, but throughout East Bellevue. Elected officials in both cities have expressed their intent to adopt a "successor agreement" to address those new impacts.
One important difference between the 1999 agreement and its successor is the addition of an East Bellevue study area. Growth in the Bel-Red and Overlake areas and throughout the region is expected to have an impact on several north-south arterials that run through east Bellevue, including 140th, 148th and 156th avenues and West Lake Sammamish Parkway.
