Construction cranes continue to dominate the skyline in downtown Bellevue, as new condominiums, office towers and hotels take shape. According to the city's Development Services Department, which tracks construction, 18 construction cranes were up in Bellevue as of March 10.
The city's transformation into a major metropolitan center with high-tech jobs, high-end retail and high-rise apartments continues with a burst of building that includes the Bellevue Place Hyatt Hotel, the 320-unit Bre-Belcarra Apartments and retail-condo projects such as Bellevue Towers, Washington Square and the Bravern.
