State Department of Revenue and Bellevue Business Outreach Workshop
The City of Bellevue and the state Department of Revenue will explain tax reporting responsibilities with the city and state. Tax reporting classifications, deductions, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements will be discussed. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions regarding taxes that apply specifically to your business. January 19, April 19, July 19 and October 18, 2012, 1 to 4 p.m., City Hall, Conference Room 1E-113.

The Department of Revenue administers the sales/use tax. For sales tax coding purposes on your state excise tax return, Bellevue's location code is 1704 and Bellevue Non-TRA 4004. The DOR allows you to review current sales and use tax rates by address.

All businesses should make every effort to be fully informed of their tax liability. You are responsible for properly reporting and paying your taxes, whether or not you receive a specific tax form or instruction.
