Development Services offers one-stop shopping for general information and the permits needed for development activity in Bellevue and the utility service area.
For electrical, low-voltage, mechanical, plumbing and re-roof "simple" permits that do not require plan review, you can apply for permits online at mybuildingpermit.com.
Information about permits for parks, residential parking and special events is also available on the city's website.

New codes and other changes
- On Jan. 1, the new Storm & Surface Water Utility and Clearing & Grading codes and standards will go into effect. Change notice.
- New construction codes in July 2010 - to include 2009 editions of the International Codes (building, fire, fuel gas, mechanical and residential), the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code, the Washington State Energy Code and the ICC/ANSI Accessible Buildings code.
