Neighbor Link

Neighborhoods celebrate projects at Sept. 11 picnic.
Neighbor Link is a partnership between individuals, neighborhoods, businesses and the City of Bellevue to promote community service, charitable projects and community building. Bellevue neighborhoods are challenged to take on community service or community building projects during the Neighbor Link season, which continues through Sept. 11.
How to get involved
Neighborhood groups, individuals and high-school students who want to organize a community service project can get personal coaching from the Neighborhood Resource Center. Julie Ellenhorn (contact information in the right column of this page) can help you select a project, identify resources, mobilize support and get organized.
Bring your creative ideas or plug into existing community needs. Good resources include a Project Idea Bank, Building Blocks For Neighborhood Projects - A "How To" Guide and 2009 neighborhood projects.
Celebrate
Neighborhood projects each earn a local celebration, cosponsored by the city and Chipotle Mexican Grill. Each participating neighborhood is eligible for a "Party-in-a-Box" to help them put together a neighborhood gathering or block party. Party-in-a-Box Guidelines
Neighborhoods can also enter their project to win special recognition awards to be presented at a National Day of Service celebration (including a picnic and concert) -- at City Hall on Sept. 11, noon to 2 p.m. All Bellevue residents are invited to join in on the lawn at City Hall. The free picnic, hosted by Chipotle Mexican Grill, will feature live music, awards and a volunteer resource fair
