Pet Licenses

Pet Licenses

Pet licenses (renewals and new licenses) can be obtained through the Service First desk at City Hall or directly from King County online.

License Renewal:

Fill out a short application.
Renew licenses annually.
Renewals are free for senior citizens.
Bring the previous license number.

New License:

Fill out a short application.
If animal has been altered (spayed or neutered), bring proof.
If owner is a senior citizen, bring proof.
Pay the licensing fee.

Licensing Fees:

Juvenile Animals -- $5
Under 6 months; 6-month expiration
Altered Animals -- $30
Proof of spay or neuter required
Unaltered Animals -- $90
Included in the fee is a savings voucher for spay or neuter
Senior Citizen Discount -- $20 dog / $12 cat
For owners 65 and older, fees are reduced. Proof of pet's spay or neuter required; proof of owner age required.
