2015-16 Overlay: Lane closures and delays, alternate routes are advised.
- NEW- 112th Ave NE from NE 2nd St to NE 8th St: Mon., 6/27 & Tues., 6/28, 8 pm to 5 am.
- UPDATED: 156th Ave NE/NE 24th intersection and other locations on 156th Ave NE and 164th Ave NE: Fri., 6/24, and Mon. - Fri., 6/27-7/1., 7 am to 4 pm.
- UPDATED- Lake Hills Connector: Mon.- Wed., 6/27-28, 7 am to 4 pm Two way traffic on one side, while the other side is being paved.
Coal Creek Parkway SE from Newcastle Way to SE 60th St: On-going until early July. Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians should be prepared for impacts due to construction of AvalonBay Newcastle. Four lanes of traffic will remain open, but periodically, AvalonBay will close one northbound lane from 9 am to 3 pm or later, as needed. A temporary reduction of the speed limit from 40 MPH to 25 MPH will be in effect until travel lane restrictions are removed. Left-hand turns will not be permitted in this area. Bike lanes will be closed, and the sidewalk will be closed on the east side of Coal Creek Parkway.
Northup Way, from NE 33rd Place and NE 24th St: On-going to January 2017. One lane traffic control from 5:30 am to 4 pm daily. The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH within project limits. Expect long delays. ALTERNATE ROUTES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
NE 6th St between Bellevue Way and 110th Ave NE: On-going to mid-July. Work hours are Mon,- Fri., 7 am to 6 pm, and Sat. 9 am to 6 pm A section of the NE 6th St Pedestrian Corridor will be closed to pedestrians and bicyclists while crews make improvements to the heavily-travelled corridor. Watch for signage, flaggers and/or police officers directing people around the construction area.
SE Allen Rd from 138th Ave SE to 150th Ave SE: Ongoing until mid-August. Construction will last four months. Work hours are Mon. - Fri., 7:30 am - 5 pm Utilities will be replacing an aging water main. Expect traffic delays.
WB SE 8th Street from 114th Ave SE to 112th Ave SE: On-going until October. Sewer work by Bellevue Utilities will close the curb lane. Access to local businesses will be maintained. All traffic movements will be maintained. The pedestrian and bike paths along the north curb lane will be closed. Part of Bellefield Sewer Projects.
114th Ave SE from SE 6th St to Main St: On-going to August. Work hours are Mon. - Fri., 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Sewer main replacement work by Bellevue Utilities will close 114th Ave SE to through traffic. Access to local businesses will be maintained and sidewalks will remain open. This will be a hard closure, providing local access only from the north (via NE 2nd St). Part of the Bellefield Area Sewer Projects.
120th Ave NE from NE 8th St to NE 12th St: FRI., 6/24 AT 10 PM THROUGH SUN., 6/26 12 PM, FULL CLOSURE OF NE 8TH STREET & 120TH AVE NE INTERSECTION. Major paving project requires closure of the entire intersection, detours will be in place – please use NE 12th St as the main east/west route. (120th Ave NE Stage II)
123rd Ave SE Sidewalk from SE 20th Pl to SE 26th St: On-going to Wed., 6/30, 7 am – 6 pm Expect single lane closures with alternating traffic.
EAST LINK LIGHT RAIL CONSTRUCTION The construction of the Downtown Bellevue Tunnel has begun.
Bellevue Way SE/SE 30th St: Sat., 6/25 – Sun., 6/26, 6 am to 8 pm Lane closures on Bellevue Way SE at SE 30th St and eastbound I-90 ramp to Bellevue way closed. Puget Sound Energy, with approval from WSDOT, will be trenching on Bellevue Way SE as part of the East Link project to relocate existing aerial distribution lines underground.
UPDATED- 110th Ave NE between NE 4th and NE 6th: FULL CLOSURE THROUGH LATE JULY. Expect construction activity within the work zone on Monday through Saturdays, 7 am to 8 pm Work hours extended in the morning and evening for double shift to complete the roadway so that work can continue until a southbound lane on 110th Ave NE is reopened; which is anticipated to occur in late-July. The northbound closure will remain in place until early Sept. View closure on the East Link webpage.
- Local access to Skyline Tower and City Hall is available via westbound NE 4th St to 110th Ave only.
- Visitor access to City Center Plaza is available from 108th Ave NE.
- Visitor access to Bellevue City Hall is available from northbound 110th Ave NE (via westbound NE 4th St) and eastbound NE 6th St.
Main St/112th Ave SE: On-going. Expect intermittent lane and sidewalk closures for installation of temporary sound wall.
NE 2nd Pl from 110th Ave NE to 111th Ave NE: Closed 2016 thru 2018 (minimum 2-year closure). Road will be closed for an extended period of time to allow use of the right of way as a staging area for Sound Transit.
