CITY TRAFFIC INFORMATION (NOTE: For information on road closures related to ice, snow or flooding, please see the city’s Emergencies and Extreme Weather Response page):
NEW – Road Closure: 105th Avenue SE, Main St. to Cliff Drive: The road will be closed 7 a.m. Thurs., Sep. 18, through 6 p.m. Sat., Sep. 20 for regrading and paving.
UPDATED - 2014 Overlay Program: Crews will be repairing, grinding and paving roadways at numerous locations throughout Bellevue through the summer. Expect delays from intermittent lane closures and traffic control at the following locations (work schedule is weather-dependent):
- Highland Drive SE, SE 46th St to Forest Dr: Single lane closures 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon. thru Fri.
- Coal Creek Parkway, 119th Ave SE to Factoria Blvd: Lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. Fri. to 8 a.m. Sat. for grinding.
Lane Closures: NE 4th Street at 116th Avenue NE: Crews are working on the first stage of an extension of NE 4th Street. Expect intermittent lane closures and truck traffic weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lane Closures: 120th Avenue NE, NE 4th Street to NE 7th Street: Crews are at work on the roadway project. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Expect lane closures and restricted access to NE 5th, 6th and 7th Streets.
Lanes Reduced: Coal Creek Parkway, Forest Drive to SE 60th Street: The Parkway is reduced down to two lanes, one lane in each direction, on the west side of the parkway while the second half of the new Coal Creek bridge is built, and other project work progresses. The city plans to complete the project in October, when all four lanes will reopen. Expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.
FREEWAY TRAFFIC INFORMATION: Washington State Department of Transportation has several projects under way that can affect traffic in Bellevue at any given time. For the most up-to-date information on construction activity on major highways, visit WSDOT's weekly construction closure updates.
Advisories: Various ramp and lane closures. See WSDOT for details on this and other area impacts.
Advanced notice: Crews will close all lanes of Bellevue Way, between 103rd Avenue Northeast and Lake Washington Boulevard, over the weekend of October 3-6, including the SR 520 off- and on-ramps at Bellevue Way. During this time, crews will install drainage on the Bellevue Way roadway and SR 520 ramps. Closure will occur from 10 p.m. Fri., Oct. 3 to 5 a.m. Mon., Oct. 6.

Advisories: 15-day closure of eastbound I-90 exit to Bellevue Way began Mon., Sep. 8, at 9 a.m. All traffic heading from eastbound I-90 to Bellevue Way will use the HOV ramp during the closure. Drivers should be prepared to move left and share the HOV ramp. There will also be a signed detour in place. This work is part of WSDOT’s I-90 Two-Way Transit and HOV Project.

~COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND PRIVATE UTILITY WORK: Drivers and pedestrians should anticipate periodic lane and/or sidewalk closures and delays at these locations:
o 120th Avenue NE near NE 12th Street (Spring District development): There may be periodic traffic control measures including lane adjustments weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
o 124th Avenue NE near NE 12th Street (Spring District development): There may be periodic traffic control measures and lane adjustments for utility work.
o NE 2nd Place and NE 3rd Place between 110th & 111th Avenues NE (Marriott Hotel): NE 2nd Pl., NE 3rd St., and 111th Ave NE will have traffic control and intermittent lane closures.
