The Transportation Department's Neighborhood Traffic Services manages the impact cars, both moving and parked, have on neighborhoods.

With the Neighborhood Traffic Calming program, the city reduces cut-through traffic, speeding, overflow parking and other traffic-related ills.

The Residential Parking Management Program addresses neighborhood concerns with parked non-resident vehicles, in some cases limiting parking to people who live in a neighborhood or banning all parking from a street during certain times.
