Transportation Improvement Program
Proposed 2013-2018 Transportation Improvement Program
Bellevue's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a list of projects considered for a six-year period. Updated and submitted to the state each year, as required by law, the TIP includes both projects for which money has been allocated and are likely to happen, as well as unfunded proposals, which without funding may never be pursued. Projects in the TIP are sorted by funding status and whether they are local or outside agency-led projects.
The TIP serves as a draft work plan for the development of local transportation systems. It represents an important planning component under the state’s Growth Management Act. In most instances, projects must be included in the city's TIP to be eligible for state and federal grants.
The Bellevue Transportation Commission will hold a public hearing before the start of their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m., April 12, 2012, at City Hall in the Council Conference Room.
